Hello!

Welcome to the official ANGRY CUBE readme. This level came into being as my
first attempt at *releasing* a level. I have written levels before, but never
did I go beyond a couple of rooms and cooridors. This was a great learning
experience for me and I actually managed to create a couple of special
effects that I had never seen before (which isn't to say they haven't been
done).

The level is arranged in a cubical structure of six large rooms connected by
central cooridors to a central hub, hence the name. I originally intended this
to be strictly multiplayer, but then I decided to add bad guys and a strategy,
so it became the maniacal festival of slaughter that it now is. It is actually
fairly easy to beat in trainee mode, but if you want pure madness with
seemingly endless hordes of robots try out HOTSHOT or ACE. Pretty crazy. I
really like the way this turned out for multiplayer games, though. I truly
thought it would suck by concept, but it works nice. :)

To install this level, just place the angrcube.rdl and angrcube.msn files in
your Descent level (along with all your other hundreds of levels ;) ), and run
Descent. You will find it in the "T" region of your 'New Game' list under
"The Angry Cube". Run whatever skill level you like, and if it happens to be
"Insane", then you truly are :)

Special thanks go to:

Parallax Software for bringing us the game of the decade

Robinhood - My roomate and co bug tester: This would have been wayyyyy too
nuts without your help, hosehead! :) :) :)

Jay Cotton and whomever he enlists for his crew - Thanks for Kali, which
partly enspired this level and helped me to unwind when I couldn't figure
out how to fix something. Kali Descent ROCKS THE WORLD!!!

Bill Sechrist - The author of Mega Death! Mega Death inspired me the most
whilst creating this level. Many an evening has been spent
anarchying in Mega Death. It's my favorite level by far.

All the other multi player authors and pilots that hang out on Kali Central:
Thanks for helping me to unstress and learn the finer points of Descent Multi
, and also for bugfix assistance and ideas. Even when someone gets cocky and
starts throwing insults (Hi Myrkul), it's still a blast. Thanks all for those
great fight scenes and teaching me some humility here and there.

Notes: If you seemingly get hurt by nothing, it means you're inside a spawner
room while its trying to spawn robots - MOVE!
The red key card - If you haven't found it, then you havent killed
everything. The key cards (hehehe) are not a bug, I just thought it
was funny, so I left it.
The sparkling force field in the smart missile room is opened by
blowing the... You'll figure it out... :)
One last thing: Please don't modify this and then distribute the mod.
Distribute the original till ya drop, but keep it original.

Good luck and have fun!
See ya on Kali!!!
