** Name of Level **	AP - Io Munitions Facility

** Editor used **	Devil2.0H (keeps getting easier and easier)

** Author ** Ian Zepp, UAH, Huntsville, AL, Feb 21 1996
			{email: icszepp@nando.net}
			{internet ID: NoMode, Secondary}

** Build Time **	22 hours, over three days.

** Plot **

	It's very simple. The usual gig. Invading robots have seized
the munitions research and development facility on Io. Your goal: get
the few scientists held hostage, find the fusion generator, and take it
out.

** Influences **

	This level has a lot of old style basic Descent I influence. I
don't really like those exotic levels with 4D effects, and eye-watering
textures, so I turned down the special effects and turned up the details
and strategy. You will find that this level does not contain a lot of
super powerful bots, but instead the bots there are positioned so that
it becomes pretty damn hard to kill them. I suggest going through on
rookie once just so that you realize what I mean, then go for hotshot and
ace. I've just barely beaten it on ace; should you try good luck.

	Most of the aura comes from level 9, while the difficulty comes
from level 26. If you like grates, you will really like this level. I
have tried to beef up the subtle effects, little uses of lava here and
there...  look around, you'll see.

** Privileges **

	Other editors may NOT make macros from this levels; you're welcome
to distribute this, as long as it has all three files from the original
apack_2.zip file:  apack_2.hog, apack_2.msn, and apack_2.txt; as far as
being an influence, feel free to be inspired. Just don't copy.

** Thanks **

	To Interplay for Descent, and Descent II; to Achim for the free
Devil Level Editor (I was SO happy with the upgrade from 2.0D to 2.0H)
To my roomates at UAH for the use of their computers (as I always say:
to build to specs is good, to build on specs is better.)

** Have Fun! **
